​​Amy Cook is the author of “Where There’s Smoke, There’s Blue Sky: The Hallmarks of 9/11’s Imagery in Prose” (Assay: A Journal of Nonfiction Studies). Finalist for Tablet’s First Personal Essay Contest, The Good Life Review Honeybee Prize, Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts ProForma Competition, and TulipTree Review’s Disruptors Contest. Her essays and poems have been featured in more than two dozen journals and anthologies, including Anti-Heroin Chic and the Los Angeles Review. She is an Editorial Assistant for CRAFT. Amy is an award-winning lyricist (BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop, 2008 Harrington Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement) whose work has been heard at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre (Easter Bonnet Competition, 2010), the Metropolitan Room and the Algonquin Salon. Her lyrics were most recently performed by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.
